Application crashes

On my iMac OSX 10.8.5 when I click on WOL status application crashes. I dont have any time capsule, but I use my Freebox as router, and have external peripherals, an other Mac, and hard disk connected. I wanted to use this application to monitor performances of my LAN, as I thought it was possible accordiing to pictures 2 and 3. But I cannot acces to these features…

basic

its very very basic! poor configurations! please, improve it.

Useless for users of new AirPort Utility

Apple does not support the setting of the SNMP community string if you use AirPort Utility version 6. But this needs to be configured in iNet if you want to scan the network with an AirPort Express or Time Capsule. This is not mentioned in the description but hidden somewhere in the Help Document. This tool is useless and I just waisted 6,99 €.

Ok but missing alot of features.

I bought this based on my experience with the iPhone version. This app looks ok it is missing any and all features that would make it useful. There is no port scanner. No WOL feature. You cannot save host information. There is no advanced ping features. In short the only thing it does is tell you bare minimum information about your network, which would be fine if the program was free but charging for this is a rip off. Im very disappointed. I hope they update it to add the features included in the iOS version.

Missing features...

I have to agree with the first review. Got this app from using the iPhone one and this one is seriously lacking in functionality. Beside all the previously listed missing feature, you also cant change network range, so if you have multiple network adapter, only the main one is use. So forget about any serious work with this version. At this time, not worth buying.

Useful but a little pricey.

If you need to know the ip of something on the network this is handy. I liked the iOS app as well so got this one. $6 is a bit pricey but since my Airport Extreme routing table is so awful this is helpful for me.

Very useful

I found this program very helpful for obtaining information in order to carry out routine maintenance on my router. Just what i needed.

Great work

I love this app on my iPhone and I love the new features youve added to the Mac app. As someone who does own an Airport Extreme, the new features are great - and look great too. If youre a geek like me and/or just need to see how your network is functioning and whos using it, this app is perfect. I hope theres an iPad version in the works ;)

The app is Great and the support is just as great!

I was looking for something that was easy enough for a novice user (like myself) to operate and be able to look and see what was on my home network and where all my bandwidth was going, I tried a few other apps that just seemed overwhelming. I came across a review on Macworld (5 mice) and was interested so I figured I had nothing to lose. The initial network scan took less than 20 seconds and I found some "leeches" on my network! (things that are running that I dont need to be hogging bandwidth. I spent the better part of an hour turning on all my WiFi devices and renaming them in the App so I could see what they are when I run a scan, I noticed some icons missing (namely a white iPad icon or Sony PS3) so I sent an email to Bananaglue with a simple suggestion of adding more icons or allowing user uploads. I was shocked to get a very personalized email in return thanking me for the feedback/suggestion and was made aware that they are working on adding more. No form letter or canned response and it was great to read it! If you are looking for something to help get a better understanding of what is going on with your WiFi network and have a beautiful interface GET THIS APP.

Outstanding

Like the iOS iNet app, this OS X version of iNet is fantastic. It shows all devices, including MAC address and manufacturer. Exports results to PDF or CSV. Well worth the money for speed and convenience.

Great Product - awesome support

Works very well, I’ve used all feature except WOL, and I’ve had no problems. I have contacted the vendor with a minor concern regarding the latest APs from Apple and they explained the situation to me. I have purchased others like it this but in my opinion this one is top of the list.

Good but not great.

This is a usefull app for configuring your network and gaining basic information. I wish it had SNMP support for non apple routers. But it functions perfectly when used to scan the network and will discover devices within a custom range, it will then give you some usefull information about those devices. It does not seem to have all the features of the IOS version.

Very Good App!

If you want to easily know what is connected to your home network then you are going to love this app! The makers of the app have done a very good job of displaying both complex and hidden network information so that it is easy to understand. The BananaGlue group is very responsive in providing support and has great customer service!!

Not worth $7.99 !

This app had potential on paper but without Airport Monitor (which I was mainly interrested in but it’s not supported since I have the latest Time Capsule supporting 802.11ac) is not worth $7.99. There are cheeper alternatives that do an as good if not better job.

Works great

Very handy for quick network troubleshooting and finding that one office shared printer.

My ‘Go To’ network scanner for home

iNet is my go to scanner for my home network, its always fast, accurate and easy to use.

10/10 best network scanner

Best network scanner for macos. Thanks!

it crashes all the time!

I have just bought it and it crashes all the time! Maybe it is not compatible with Lion 10.7.4?…

Działa świetnie / Nice tool and is working perfectly

Polecam, odnajduje wszystkie urządzenia w mojej lokalnej sieci. Działa sprawnie i bezproblemowo. Bardzo dobrze wydane pieniądze. :-) I recommend this very useful software. Works fast and effectively giving me neccesarry information about network devices. Worth every spent money.

Excellent way to visualize your local network

This app gives a lovely overall view of my network. The Network Scanner tab is indispensable for seeing all the devices on the local network at a glance, the Bonjour Browser tab has proved useful in figuring out just what network services various devices are offering (whether or not theyre listed on the devices box), and the Airport Monitor tab gives really excellent status information for my AirPort Extreme (a 5th gen, 802.11n model, from when Apple still provided an SNMP interface), including graphing the signal strength of all the connected WiFi devices. Bonus points because this app is also available for iPhone and iPad.
